The Tourist Information Centre of the Arkhangelsk Region has prepared a selection of winter tours and excursions around the region for children's and family groups.
The catalogues include more than 30 tours and about 150 excursions. They are posted online in the form of a summary table of offers. for travel with the whole class or family in Arkhangelsk and its environs, Primorsky, Kholmogorsky, Pinezhsky, Onezhsky, Kargopolsky, Kotlassky, Konoshsky, Ustyansky, Velsky, Plesetsky, Krasnoborsky and Lensky districts.
Each catalog contains a travel program, duration, recommended age, travel destination, cost and organizers' contacts. This will help travel agents to more thoroughly plan a New Year's trip or a winter weekend program for their tourists.
TIC offers the market two catalogues: “Winter tours in the Arkhangelsk region” and “Winter excursions in the Arkhangelsk region”.
Among the options there are very interesting and unusual products. For example, an excursion from OOO "A Tours" to the Solzensky production and experimental salmon plant, which has been operating for 25 years, is located in the vicinity of Severodvinsk and reproduces the salmon population. Young "salmon" born here are released into the waters of the spawning river Solza.
The Polar Captains School, an excursion from OOO TEK Pomor-Tour, will also be intriguing for the children. The participants of the trip will learn about the history of the domestic icebreaker fleet of Russia, get acquainted with the specifics and structure of the icebreaker, inspect the captain's cabin, engine room, cabins and galley, and walk along the decks of the icebreaker. The guests will also visit the oldest maritime educational institution in Russia with a centuries-old history - the Arctic Marine Institute named after V. I. Voronin (maritime school).
