Aeroflot to fly from Moscow to Verona and Naples

Aeroflot Airlines intends to launch flights from Moscow to Verona and Naples in the summer. Both lines will open on July 1 and will be serviced daily, Travel.ru's own correspondent reports.

On the Verona route, departure from Moscow (Sheremetyevo Airport) is at 7:35, arrival in Verona at 10:00. Return departure at 11:10, arrival in Moscow at 15:30. On the Neapolitan line, departure from Moscow at 8:10, arrival in Naples at 11:00. Return departure at 12:00, arrival in Moscow at 16:30.

The routes will use the Airbus A320 aircraft. Prices are currently quite high, starting from 20,028 rubles roundtrip to Verona and 20,357 to Naples. They may be reduced closer to summer. The company will also increase the number of Moscow-Bologna flights in the summer.

Let us recall that Aeroflot has recently sharply tightened its requirements for carry-on baggage. The company has excluded from the list of absolutely free items cell phones, laptops, cameras, video cameras, umbrellas, paper folders and printed publications for reading in flight. In addition, purchases from Duty Free stores are limited to one sealed package, and a free backpack, previously unlimited in size, must now be no more than 5 kilograms and no more than 80 centimeters in the sum of three dimensions. The list of free items includes a briefcase or a handbag without size and weight restrictions (or the backpack described above), as well as outerwear, a suit in a garment bag and a bouquet of flowers. A number of items necessary for medical reasons are also carried free of charge. Moreover, the carrier began to control the dimensions of regular carry-on baggage, requiring that they do not exceed 55x40x20 centimeters (most popular small wheeled bags do not fit this), and the weight does not exceed 10 kilograms.

When buying any tickets on the Aeroflot website (as well as almost all other Russian carriers), you should keep in mind that the airline includes insurance in the ticket by default. This practice, prohibited in the EU countries, can lead to a loss of 400 rubles on each ticket. To avoid becoming a victim of an insurance trick, in most cases you need to click on the “in order” field on the insurance services selection page during the ticket booking process.

If a passenger has nevertheless fallen into a trap and paid for unnecessary insurance, it can still be cancelled. In this case, before the start of the flight, you should notify the airline about the cancellation of the insurance service and demand a refund for the insurance.
