Russian Railways is holding a short discount campaign on the sale of non-refundable tickets for upper berths in a number of double-decker trains. Tickets are sold until March 31 for trips until the same date (except for the periods of February 21-24 and March 6-9), reports our own correspondent Travel.ru.
Among the available fares from Moscow: Saint Petersburg – 1399 rubles, Kazan – 1299, Samara, Izhevsk and Petrozavodsk – 1499, Penza – 1199, Kislovodsk and Mineralnye Vody – 1790, Sochi – 2199. Fares from Saint Petersburg: Ryazan – 1499, Voronezh – 1799, Rostov – 2249, Kavkazskaya (Kropotkin) – 2381, Sochi – 2599 rubles. Tickets from Sochi to Voronezh are sold for 1799 rubles, to Ryazan – for 2456 rubles. A number of other connections are also available within these routes.
It should be borne in mind that in many cases a refundable ticket will be only slightly more expensive than a non-refundable one (but the refundable “full” fare must be selected by yourself on the passenger data entry page, and its actual cost will only be displayed on the next page).
If a shorter route is more expensive, you should buy a ticket for a longer route that includes it. It is also worth keeping in mind that due to repair work in the Krasnodar Region, travel time to Sochi and Tuapse has increased by 1-3 hours. In addition, these cities have almost lost their connection by rail with their regional capital, Krasnodar.
