Analysts from the KUPIBILET.RU agency named the airlines with the cheapest tickets. To do this, they studied data on sales of airline tickets purchased this summer. Preliminary statistics were collected for more than 200 Russian airlines and carriers with representative offices in Russia. The rating was compiled based on the average ticket price; the study took into account both domestic and international flights.
The low-cost airline became the expected leader "Victory". The average cost of a ticket on Pobeda planes in the summer of 2018 was 4,229 rubles. The airline also became the leader in the number of tickets sold from June 1 to August 1, 2018.
The second most affordable carrier was the company Nordwind Airlines. Here the average bill is only 300 rubles more, but the total number of tickets sold through the KUPIBILET.RU website and applications is almost two times less.
The third place went to a regional carrier Rusline. Tickets are on average a thousand cheaper - 5646 rubles. With a gap of 300 rubles, it follows Nordavia. The TOP-5 is closed by Ural Airlines with an average ticket price of 5951 rubles.
According to the company, the average cost of an air ticket in July was 7,900 rubles.
"The balance of power" is commented on by Kupibilet analyst Andrey Lukashevich: "To understand the overall picture, it is necessary to take into account that the concept of "cheap air ticket" cannot be considered in isolation from a specific route. The rating was formed mainly due to short regional routes. Of course, such flights are by definition cheaper than international ones. But in total, regional routes account for a significant share of air travel and therefore affect the average bill.
If we consider only the top destinations and evaluate which airlines most often offer the lowest price for them, the leaderboard will look different, and the average bill will be completely different. This is explained by the fact that on the most popular routes the concept of "cheap air ticket" is fundamentally different. Popular destinations do not include regional flights, and it is impossible to fly cheaply from, say, Moscow to New York. Accordingly, the average prices for popular destinations will be different.
It should be noted that "Victory" And S7 Airlines they charge low prices at basic rates, which do not include baggage, and "Victories" there are additional restrictions. If you add luggage, and in case "Victories" — a set of paid additional services, then the cost of airline tickets is often at the level of their closest competitors.”
