Bridges have begun to be raised in St. Petersburg

Today, April 10, the navigation season on the Neva officially begins in St. Petersburg, which means tourists should take into account the nighttime opening of bridges and plan their routes, reports our own correspondent Travel.ru.

The raised bridges are one of the symbols of St. Petersburg and many tourists come to the city embankments to admire this night spectacle.

In connection with the opening of the Tuchkov Bridge after restoration, changes have occurred in the bridge opening schedule. According to information from St. Petersburg’s Mostotrest, this year the Voldarsky Bridge will be raised from 2:00 to 3:45 and from 4:15 to 5:45, the Alexander Nevsky Bridge from 2:20 to 5:10, the Bolshoi Okhtinsky Bridge from 2:00 to 5:00, the Liteiny Bridge from 1:40 to 4:45, the Troitsky Bridge from 1:20 to 4:50, the Dvortsovy Bridge from 1:10 to 2:50 and from 3:10 to 4:55, the Blagoveshchensky Bridge from 1:25 to 2:45 and from 3:10 to 5:00, the Birzhevoy Bridge from 2:00 to 4:55, and the Tuchkov Bridge from 2:00 to 2:55 and from 3:35 to 4:55. If an application is received for the passage of ships under the Sampsonievsky, Grenadersky and Kantemirovsky bridges, they will be raised according to a single schedule: from 1:30 to 4:30. If necessary, tourists will be able to cross the Neva at night via the Bolshoy Obukhovsky Bridge, which does not raise, but is located far from the city center.

Let us remind you that information about the bridge’s condition in real time – whether it is raised or lowered, and how much time is left until it is raised or lowered – can be obtained on the Mostotrest website.

The navigation season in St. Petersburg will last until November 30.
