The city of Bormio is located at an altitude of 1230 meters, in the central part of the Rhaetian Alps. Since the middle of the last century, it has gained popularity as a ski resort. But tourists are attracted not only by the magnificent slopes. Bormio is a museum city with numerous monuments of history, architecture, art. If we add to this a huge thermal complex, where various health and beauty treatments are offered, we can say that Bormio is a truly unique place, where there is everything for a great holiday. The ancient Romans chose the thermal waters even before our era, so the resort is completely imbued with a real antique spirit. Bormio has earned recognition and respect thanks to its modern professional trails, especially on the right side of the slope.
The World Championships have been held here twice, and World Cup stages are held here once a year. The developed resort infrastructure meets the highest requirements: this concerns the slopes, lifts, hotels, inns, luxury restaurants and ordinary cafes. Every tourist will find something to his liking: a professional, an amateur, and a beginner. There are even schools for children and a kindergarten - ideal conditions for a family holiday. Most of the Bormio slopes are difficult. A cable car will take you to the highest points (for example, the Cima Bianca peak). You can descend from them both along equipped slopes and off-piste slopes. On Mount Cimino there are two descents that should appeal to the most daring: only some of the cliffs are fenced with safety nets, so there will be enough adrenaline. In Bormio, you can also successfully relax during a massage session or in a mud bath, as well as dance in a nightclub or in a bar, fortunately there are dozens of entertainment venues here. There are 7 schools open at the resort (one of them is for classic skiing).
