The first skating rinks have opened in Moscow. You can already enjoy skating in the Hermitage Garden, Sokolniki, and Tagansky Park. This was reported by the official website of the Moscow mayor.
Muscovites and visitors to the city have access to several sites with artificial ice. At the moment, you can skate on the skating rink "Led" in Sokolniki Park, which is located on Festivalnaya Square and occupies more than 5,000 square meters. Opening hours are from 10:00 to 00:00, the cost of visiting is 300-400 rubles, depending on the day of the visit. There are two skate rental points on the territory of the park.
Another skating rink is open in the Hermitage Garden, not far from the main entrance. It is open on weekends from 10:00 to 22:00, on weekdays from 14:00 to 21:00. Entrance tickets cost 250-350 rubles. You can skate for free at the skating rink in Tagansky Park. However, you must bring your own skates. Another free skating rink with artificial ice will open on November 15 in the Northern River Terminal Park. In the coming days, skating rinks in Izmailovsky and Babushkinsky Parks will be available for skating.
Earlier it became known that the winter ice season in Gorky Park will start on November 22. In honor of this, there will be a party on the rink with a performance by musicians. The opening ceremony is scheduled for 19:00 and will last until about midnight. At VDNKh, the winter season will begin on November 30.
In total, Moscow plans to open about 1,500 skating rinks with artificial surfaces and natural ice. Among them are the skating rink on Red Square, the GUM skating rink, skating rinks on Chistye and Patriarch's Ponds, in Luzhniki, in Kuzminki Park and many others. The start of the season on natural ice rinks will largely depend on weather conditions. According to the forecast, all skating rinks will begin operating by mid-December.
