The popular tourist fortress of Montjuïc (Castell de Montjuïc), located on the hill of the same name in Barcelona, has opened to visitors part of the territory where excavations were carried out from 2010 to 2017. The archaeologists’ findings included old walls of a defensive structure, writes “Spain in Russian”.
The Montjuic Fortress attracts many foreigners (83.8% visitors). You can get to it through the park alleys on the Montjuic mountain or by funicular, and the fortress offers a beautiful view of the Catalan capital. The castle hosts an exhibition, there is a military history museum and even a children's corner.
