Aeroflot cancelled at least 67 flights on February 6

Aeroflot Airlines announced numerous delays and cancellations of flights due to heavy snowfall in Moscow. On Tuesday, February 6, 67 Aeroflot flights were already cancelled, and there are already cancellations for Wednesday, February 7. At the same time, the company managed to significantly reduce the number of delays of the remaining flights in the schedule, reports Travel.ru's own correspondent.

Passengers should keep in mind that the actual number of Aeroflot flight delays and cancellations is significantly higher than the lists published on the company's website. The latter currently lists only three dozen cancelled flights. Passengers should check the status of their flight on the airline's and airport boards before heading to the airport.

Let us recall that Aeroflot cancelled more than a hundred flights on February 4-5. Significant delays and isolated flight cancellations are also observed by other airlines flying to Sheremetyevo, as well as by a number of carriers at other Moscow airports. Their passengers should also check the status of their flight before leaving for the airport.

Passengers who experience a flight delay or cancellation have the right to a full refund for the ticket or change the flight to a more convenient one than the one offered by the airline. By default, most companies transfer passengers of cancelled flights to the next next flight - even if it is on another day. The passenger is not obliged to accept the airline's offer and can choose another, more suitable flight. In addition, the carrier is obliged to provide passengers delayed for more than 4 hours with meals, and for more than 8 hours during the day or 6 at night - with a hotel. Passengers of any airline should monitor the status of their flight 1-2 days before departure in order to be able to promptly respond to potential changes.
