Aeroflot introduces new tariff for Business and Comfort classes

From March 4, 2020, Aeroflot Airlines introduces a new fare group “Basic/Base” for Business and Comfort classes.

"Tickets purchased at the new rate are non-refundable, but more affordable. New rate group "Basic/Base" applies to the entire route network of the Aeroflot Group, including flights of the subsidiaries Rossiya and Aurora (there are exceptions),” the carrier’s press service reported.

In addition, passengers traveling in Business class at the Basic/Base fare will be provided with traditional privileges: advance seat selection in the cabin, access to the luxury lounge at Russian and international airports.

"The ticket price also includes hand luggage and one piece of baggage weighing no more than 32 kg. Passengers traveling in Comfort class at the Basic fare will be able to pre-select a seat in the cabin, carry hand luggage and one piece of baggage weighing no more than 23 kg. If necessary, the passenger will be able to pay for the transportation of an additional piece of checked baggage in advance at a discount when booking or after purchasing an air ticket on the website, in the mobile application, sales offices and authorized agents. A discount on the purchase of baggage is also provided on the day of departure, but subject to payment for the service through the Aeroflot website or mobile application," the company added.

In addition, the airline noted that Aeroflot Bonus Platinum, Gold and Silver members and SkyTeam alliance frequent flyer loyalty programs Elite and Elite Plus members are still given the opportunity to take additional baggage in accordance with their status.

"We regularly analyze the requests of key client groups, as well as global experience and trends, and regularly improve the range of tariffs. The new tariff group will complement and expand the existing offer. The "Base" tariff is suitable for those who tend to plan future flights and trips more precisely, value comfort and premium service, and at the same time have a rational approach to expenses," said Andrey Chikhanchin, Deputy General Director of PJSC Aeroflot for Commerce and Finance.
