For the first time in the history of the entire existence of the international airport "Koltsovo" since the beginning of this year it has received the 6-millionth passenger. The passenger of the flight U6-205 Yekaterinburg - Mineralnye Vody received gifts from the airport: the right to free access to the airport business lounges Koltsovo throughout the year, tickets for a free flight from Ural Airlines, the airport's official portal reported.
"Six million passengers is a very high bar, and one of the important results of this year. Today's figure is the result of the work that has been done at the airport in recent years. We are constantly working on developing infrastructure, improving service, creating a favorable regime for air carriers and, of course, the most comfortable conditions for passengers," said Alexey Piskunov, Executive Director of PJSC Koltsovo Airport.
He also noted that over the 11 months of the current year, 5.7 million people were received and served at Koltsovo Airport, which is an increase of 13.7% compared to last year. From the beginning of the year to November, passenger traffic on international flights has also increased significantly — by 9.7% and on domestic flights by 16%, compared to last year's figures. The most popular destinations at the airport were Moscow, Antalya, St. Petersburg, Sochi and Novosibirsk.
