Milan's Linate city airport will be closed for three months from July 27 to October 27. The reason is the reconstruction of its only runway. During this period, the passenger terminal will also be modernized, reports our own correspondent Travel.ru.
Most flights that usually operate to Linate have been cancelled for this period. Some carriers have increased the number of flights to neighboring airports – Milan's largest Malpensa, as well as Bergamo Airport. The frequency of buses and trains to Malpensa will be increased during these three months.
Passengers who had previously booked tickets with Linate for flights in these three months will be transferred to flights to neighboring airports. They can also return their tickets without penalty.
