“Azimut” will fly to Simferopol instead of Omsk for 888 rubles

Azimuth Airlines has opened ticket sales on the Moscow-Simferopol route. Apparently, it will replace the Moscow-Omsk route. Tickets are available for 888 rubles on many dates, reports Travel.ru's own correspondent.

Flights to Simferopol will begin on October 29, and the Moscow-Omsk route will likely close a day earlier (tickets for this route for dates after October 28 are not sold). Flights to Crimea are scheduled daily.

Departure from Moscow (Vnukovo airport) at 11:00, arrival in Simferopol at 13:30. Return departure at 16:00, arrival in Moscow at 18:30. The Superjet 100 aircraft will be used on the route.

The non-refundable promotional fare is 888 rubles and is currently available on most flights, while on the rest the price of baggage-free tickets starts at 1,490 rubles. Adding baggage to the baggage-free fare costs 2,000 rubles each way. For many passengers, it will be cheaper to choose the baggage fare right away - from 3,050 rubles. However, all passengers can carry 10 kilograms of hand luggage, plus a briefcase or handbag and a number of other personal items.

Meals on Azimuth flights are paid. Passengers will only be offered sparkling and still water for free (there will probably also be a snack on the flight to Bishkek). Online check-in is only available for those willing to pay 200 rubles or more for seat selection.

When purchasing on the website of the airline, Azimuth now includes paid meals (a sandwich for 250 rubles) and paid insurance (also 250 rubles) in the ticket by default. This practice of selling services not requested by the client, which is prohibited in the European Union and a number of other countries, is still widespread in Russia. To refuse unnecessary services, you should click on the “In order” buttons on the additional services selection page.

In September, Azimuth also opened routes from Rostov to Volgograd and Grozny, as well as flights from Rostov and Krasnodar to Nizhnekamsk. In addition, from October, the company plans to fly from Moscow to Pskov, from Krasnodar to Kazan, from Sochi to Kaluga, from Rostov, Krasnodar and Stavropol to Yerevan and from Rostov to Bishkek and Tyumen. Flights on the Moscow-Elista route will be doubled - from 2 to 4 times a week. At the same time, Azimuth will close several routes in late September - early October: from Elista to Sochi and Rostov, from Krasnodar and Mineralnye Vody to Kaluga, as well as from Moscow to Grozny.

Let us recall that soon passengers of all Russian airlines may lose the guarantees of free transportation of briefcases, handbags, backpacks, outerwear, as well as baby food, medicine, canes, crutches and other items necessary for medical reasons. This is the draft order of the Ministry of Transport, prepared after the appeal to the ministry by the airline Pobeda, which demanded that passengers be deprived of all these guarantees. If the draft is approved, carriers will be able to limit passengers to only 5 kilograms of hand luggage, and the permissible dimensions of such luggage will be determined by the airlines themselves (Pobeda itself already uses a tiny “calibrator” measuring 36x30x27 centimeters for this, in which it is impossible to place many ordinary small city bags, as well as some mobile electronics - for example, some laptops). At the same time, Azimuth stated that in any case, it does not intend to reduce the norms for its passengers.
