AZUR air launched a flight from Tatarstan to the Dominican Republic

AZUR air airline has opened the first direct transatlantic flight in the history of the Republic of Tatarstan: now tourists will be able to get from the region to the Dominican Republic without transfers.

As the press service of the carrier told the TRN portal, flights from the capital of Tatarstan will be operated on a regular basis on Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, with a frequency of once every two weeks. The first flight departed from Kazan International Airport on November 1 with almost 100% occupancy.

AZUR air is the only airline that will serve this route in the upcoming autumn-winter season.

"The opening of the flight program on the Kazan-La Romana route will satisfy the demand of residents of the Republic of Tatarstan and neighboring regions for direct flights to the Dominican Republic. With the opening of flights, residents of the Republic who want to spend their vacation on the Caribbean beaches no longer need to make a transfer in Moscow," AZUR air said.

According to the airline, the average fare on the Kazan-Moscow route is about 6 thousand rubles roundtrip.

"Our approach is that such a long journey should be comfortable for passengers at all stages. There is no doubt that the modern airport infrastructure of Kazan International Airport will allow you to quickly and easily go through all pre-flight procedures," says Yuri Stogniy, CEO of AZUR air.

"The first direct transatlantic flight in the history of the Republic of Tatarstan was carried out - the aircraft load was almost 100%. The opening of the flight program on the Kazan - La Romana route will allow residents of our republic and neighboring regions to comfortably reach the Caribbean islands without making tedious transfers," said Sergey Romantsov, General Director of Kazan International Airport.
