Where to relax in winter and what plans to make for summer: the resort "Yaroslavskoe Vzmorie" has all-season capabilities to accommodate tourists.
“Our territory has a lot in common with Jurmala, we have similar ecological and natural characteristics,” he says. Dmitry Rodionov, the resort's general director. And indeed: tall pine trees, snow-white sand, clean water, a familiar smell that mixes the aromas of tree resins, fresh leaves and water... You want to say "sea", although you catch yourself thinking - this is the Volga! But this is not a mistake: the Yaroslavl seaside is located on the Rybinsk Reservoir, and it is often called the Rybinsk Sea. By the way, Dmitry Rodionov proudly says, the length of the Rybinsk Sea coast is longer than the length of the Black Sea coast of Russia before Crimea joined the Russian Federation.
The project began in 2007. Today, Yaroslavskoye Vzmorye is one of the major resorts, a calling card of the Yaroslavl region, and the pride of Russian domestic tourism. The resort is one of the projects of the Agranta group of companies, founded by Sergey Bachin. The Koprino Bay Park Hotel, the heart of the resort, occupies an area of 15,000 hectares, and the entire seaside area is 100 square kilometers. Abandoned areas were developed and cleaned, while, importantly, the ecosystem was preserved, and not a single tree was harmed during the construction of cottages in the park hotel. As a result, now only 280 kilometers from Moscow there is a resort with wonderful natural conditions, excellent accommodation options, a wide variety of leisure activities, and it will be pleasant and interesting to relax here both in summer and in winter.
Museum program
If you are planning your trip to the Yaroslavl seaside, the ideal option is to immediately think about combining an excursion program with rest. Fortunately, there are all the possibilities for this. Uglich will always please tourists with its museums: the Museum of Myths and Superstitions of the Russian People, the Library of Russian Vodka, the Museum of Urban Life, the Museum of the Working Horse - what options are not there! The modern Museum of Hydropower will please both children and adults: it presents a high-quality exposition telling the history of the creation of the Uglich hydroelectric power station and all hydroelectric power stations in Russia and the world, and interactive models enhance perception, you can touch a lot. You cannot ignore the Uglich Kremlin - an amazing object, the fortress walls have not survived here, but you can contemplate the Church of Tsarevich Dmitry on the Blood, the Princely Chambers (the oldest building in the city) and the Transfiguration Cathedral - and it is better with an excursion, it will be useful and important to discover this part of the country's history.
From Uglich, it is worth visiting Myshkin (by the way, it will be interesting to plan a route taking into account the ferry crossing). The city of Myshkin took up the development of its brand several years ago and succeeded in this. Here in the Mouse Museum they will tell you why the city has such a name, and will show you their pets - hundreds of mice live here, who came to the museum from all over the country and even from abroad.
Well, and then you can head to "Koprino Bay". Here, guests can enjoy 42 respectable cottages, 17 hotel rooms, 5 cabins in the hotel and entertainment complex-landing platform, 4 townhouses. In addition to large cottages, the park hotel also has small houses - they will be convenient and financially comfortable for a small company to stay in, for example, a couple or spouses with a child. The hotel plans to expand its hotel stock.
By the way, cultural leisure here will also be complete. Next to the park-hotel "Bukhta Koprino" the village "Tygydym" has settled - an ethnic complex, where you can learn about the flooding and relocation of villages and cities during the construction of reservoirs, get acquainted with ancient village rituals. And next to the New Year here will open a branch of the Museum of the Rybinsk Sea with a rich exposition, and the museum will be located in an old log house - it was moved here from the village of Pogorelka, and once this hut stood in the now flooded village of Mologa, it housed the village school.
Think about the eternal
By the way, the topic of flooded lands is relevant for the Yaroslavl seaside. For example, Koprino has also been under water for a long time. All that remains of this settlement is the church on the shore, it was the highest place, so it survived. But the church itself was destroyed. The leadership of the Yaroslavl seaside decided to restore this temple, which was built back in 1680. They approach the matter thoroughly: a project for the restoration of the Koprino temple was developed, the restoration is being carried out very carefully.
It's good that the foundation has been preserved. The temple, which is gradually growing (and tourists from passing boats already notice it from the river), will have the same thickness of walls as before - 1.20 meters! The temple will be built in 4 years.
By the way, there are plans to restore the settlement of Koprino on the map.
Closer to nature
The park-hotel "Bukhta Koprino" has its own management, too unusual an object, Dmitry Rodionov notes, external management patterns from Heliopark, Mercury and other similar recreation systems do not fit local conditions and goals. And indeed, from the point of view of the tourism business, the resort is very diverse and non-standard. The tasks are to provide each tourist, with his wishes and intentions, with an ideal vacation.
What unusual objects can be presented to a guest? The Yaroslavl Seaside has come up with a Forest Museum. “Once my boss shared with me that he saw a Moss Museum in Japan, the ticket price was 300 euros, and there is ten times more moss in our forests! I was just thinking about something similar, our thoughts coincided. And we decided to make our own Museum,” says Dmitry Rodionov. “Only our Forest Museum will always be free. We will try to make it so that people do not pay for anything except accommodation and food.”
There are 8 km of paths in the forest, where it was previously impossible to walk without boots up to the waist. It is not easy to drive a person out for a walk in the forest, but if you succeed, people return with shining eyes. Here you can meet foxes, hares - the forest continues to live its own life. And for cyclists there are dirt paths. The forest museum is public, both residents of the park hotel and summer residents, everyone can walk here. The forest has already become very popular.
In winter, there are its own pleasures: groomed paths for snowmobiles, a laid ski trail for cross-country skiers.
Comfortable rest
Of course, guests of the park hotel "Bukhta Koprino" are provided with quality services. The restaurants offer high-class cuisine, with many dishes made from local products, such as the famous porcini mushroom soup. Well, you can relax in the Wellness center. How nice it is to look through the panoramic windows of the pool at the white frosty landscape!
Here you can spend time in the gym, and then head to the pool area - visitors can enjoy 25-meter lanes, and another surprise: you can swim out into the open-air area. The water here is only 2 degrees cooler than inside the building. It is a great pleasure to swim in clouds of steam and look at the winter Volga! Well, and then it's time to warm up: a choice of a Finnish sauna, Russian steam room, Turkish hammam, contrast shower with different modes.
Another highlight of the park hotel is the Russian bath complex "Taiga Fairy Tale". Huts made of huge cedars that you can't wrap your arms around - the logs were specially brought here from Siberia. Here they steam according to all the rules and even a little like a fairy tale: the most unusual place in the bath is a cauldron hanging on chains, in which you can steam in an infusion of medicinal herbs.
Growth points
Nowadays, the main tourist of the Yaroslavl seaside is no longer just a resident of Moscow. People come here to relax from Vladimir, Nizhny Novgorod, Yaroslavl, Tver - from all over central Russia. The resort's audience is also tourists traveling on cruise liners. During the season, about 500 ships pass by, and that's 150 thousand tourists! Not counting yachts and boats. Therefore, the resort's management paid great attention to attracting water tourists - and now the Yaroslavl seaside has a modern yacht club with the ability to moor yachts and with a floating gas station, in fact, this is the second official and civilized gas station on the Volga after the gas station on the territory of the recreation center of the Presidential UPDC.
And tourists need a place to stop and relax. Only more real relaxation - beach, sunbathing, water, swimming, games. This is how a quality beach with white sand appeared here. Now, Dmitry Rodionov notes, during the season there are more than 100 moorings (the pier can accommodate up to 4 motor ships), which is 2 times more than in Rybinsk. In 2018, the beach already received about 2 thousand people on good days, despite the lack of a road to Rybinsk. If the road is repaired next year, there will be even more vacationers here.
The resort has also entered into operation within the framework of the Federal Targeted Program for the Development of Domestic Tourism for 2019–2025, as part of the Yaroslavl Riviera cluster. Roads will be built within the framework of this target program of Rostourism — there is an idea to make an interchange and a road from the park hotel to the runway, to the shooting range, so that these tourist sites are connected.
"Yaroslavskoe Vzmorie" welcomes the same enterprising businesses, enthusiastic investors. This is how "Tygydym" appeared here, although, it should be noted, this is a special story - the resort management helped the museum complex with land and organization of space. Now another investor is building a golf course nearby. Another partner is creating an innovative airfield for small aircraft - the runway here will be heated. "We have a dream that not only we will start to love this place, and not only we will start to invest money here," says the director of "Yaroslavskoe Vzmorie". - And this dream is gradually being realized."
