Travel service Tutu.ru studied where travelers will celebrate February 23, March 8 and the May holidays. All sold air tickets with departures from Russian cities with holiday dates were analyzed. The data was compared with the same period a year earlier.
As the company's press service told TRN, the most popular route is Moscow-Sochi. This was also the case in February 2019. Then there are flights to Simferopol and Mineralnye Vody.
Last year, on February 23, Moscow residents flew to Tbilisi. Now the share of passengers on this route has decreased 6 times (from 3.2% to 0.5%).
As of March 8, the most popular destinations departing from Moscow were Sochi, Mineralnye Vody and Simferopol. Then came Krasnodar and Kaliningrad.
Among the foreign destinations on March 8, flights from Moscow to Yerevan, Prague, Rome, Vienna and Istanbul turned out to be popular.
The average bill for the May holidays 2020 in Russia increased by 9% (from 12,943 rubles for a round-trip ticket to 14,059), abroad - +1 (the average bill is about 23 thousand rubles).
The TOP-5 popular destinations for the May holidays included routes from Moscow to Simferopol, Sochi and Kaliningrad, and from St. Petersburg to Kaliningrad and Simferopol.
Among foreign destinations, the most popular during the May holidays were routes from Moscow to Yerevan, Prague, Tel Aviv, Riga and Belgrade.
