Rostourism plans to spend almost 4 million rubles to refine Russia's tourism brand: according to data published on the State Procurement website, the Plenum agency has been selected as the contractor.
So, the competition for the selection of a contractor for the completion of the tourist brand was announced at the end of September. The starting price of the project was 5.3 million.
"The Contractor undertakes, in the manner stipulated by this contract, to provide the Customer (Rostourism) with a set of services to create a visual identification system and corporate identity guidelines for the Russian Federation tourism brand, and the Customer undertakes to accept and pay for the services rendered in a proper manner," the document says. It also notes that the deadline for completing the work is December 5.
Let us add that the All-Russian competition "Tourism Brand of Russia" started in 2015. Anyone could propose their own version. As a result, almost 500 logos and 600 slogans were submitted for consideration by the commission.
In 2016, the second stage of the competition, organized by Rostourism with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Association of Branding Companies of Russia (ABKR), started. At that time, professional designers presented their concepts. After that, the three best works were selected in a public vote. In November 2017, the jury chose the winner from the three finalists of the competition. The winner was the concept "Russia is the whole world", made in the spirit of Suprematism. However, many social media users did not appreciate the authors' creativity.
