Flights Cancelled in Philippines Due to Typhoon

More than 100 international and domestic flights have been cancelled in the Philippines as authorities prepare airports for Typhoon Tisoy.

 

 

In addition, the Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), Jim Sidiongco, called on carriers prepare for possible disruptions to air travel, the Philippine News Agency reports.

“SAAR-controlled airports must take precautionary measures and relocate light aircraft, equipment, documents to safe locations, and close all windows and doors of premises,” the statement said.

In addition, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned tourists about the approaching typhoon Kammuri.

"Philippines - Typhoon Kammuri will affect the islands of Luzon, Catanduanes, Samar and Biliran on the evening of December 2; evacuation of the population is underway," the Russian Foreign Ministry's Situation and Crisis Center (DSCC) reported on Twitter.
