Punta Cana, La Romana and Boca Chica have become the most popular resorts in the Dominican Republic this winter. This was reported to the TRN portal by the press service of the Russian tour operator Biblio-Globus.
According to the company, the absolute leader in this area is in the winter season of 2019 is the resort of Punta Cana, it accounts for 62.3% bookings for the upcoming season. Next in popularity are the resorts of La Romana (12.2%) and Boca Chica (8%). Among other resorts of the Dominican Republic, tourists choose Juan Dolio, Uvero Alto and the Samana Peninsula.
Most often, tourists book tours to the Dominican Republic lasting 10 and 14 nights and prefer 5* (72,78%) and 4* (23,5%) hotels for accommodation.
According to Biblio-Globus, the Dominican Republic is annually among the top five destinations in the winter season and is a popular destination for beach holidays all year round among Russian tourists. The high demand is explained by the favorable climatic features of the country, a wide variety of hotels for different categories of tourists, as well as the availability of the all-inclusive system, which is preferred by Russian travelers.
