Peterhof to open fountain season on April 27

The fountains of the Upper and Lower Parks of the Peterhof State Museum-Reserve in St. Petersburg will start working on April 27. In the summer season, entrance to the Lower Park, where most of the fountains are located, will be paid until 18:00 (the end of the fountains' working hours). On holidays, the park's fountains will be turned off an hour later - at 19:00.

On May 18, the traditional spring Fountain Festival will take place at the Grand Cascade in Peterhof, the museum's press service reports. This year it is dedicated to the 220th anniversary of A.S. Pushkin. The "Genius and Place" festival will begin at 13:00. Spectators of the open-air performance will see sketches about Pushkin's life, about the heroes of his works, fragments from famous ballets staged based on beloved fairy tales. The festival will end with a pyrotechnic show.

The cost of tickets to the Lower Park of Peterhof in the upcoming season will be 450 rubles for citizens of Russia and the CIS and 900 rubles for foreigners. You can see the list of benefits when visiting the museum and park here.
