A quarter more tourists with children will travel to the Dominican Republic this coming winter
This is the conclusion reached by specialists from the largest tour operator Biblio-Globus, having analyzed the bookings of tours to the Dominican Republic for the winter dates of 2018/19, where the composition travelers have children aged 0 to 12 years. Thus, according to the tour operator, this coming winter, demand for tours to the Dominican Republic among tourists with children has grown by 24%. At the same time, the share of such clients in the overall structure of tour sales in this direction was 12%, and the most popular resorts were Punta Cana, La Romana and Boca Chica.
According to Biblio-Globus, the Dominican Republic is annually among the top five destinations for beach holidays in winter. The high demand is explained by the favorable climatic features of the country, a wide variety of hotels for different categories of tourists, as well as the availability of the "all inclusive" system, which is preferred by Russian travelers.
"The prevalence of the all-inclusive concept, the developed infrastructure of the country's resorts, the high level of service, as well as a large selection of excursion and animation programs make the Dominican Republic an excellent alternative to popular beach destinations for a winter holiday. Interest in Dominican resorts among Russians is growing every year, including the destination is becoming increasingly popular for family holidays with children," commented Biblio-Globus.
According to the tour operator, there is a great depth of sales in this direction, with bookings currently reaching March 2019. The most popular tours among Russian tourists are to the Dominican Republic lasting 10-14 days with accommodation in 4-5* hotels.
In the winter season 2018/19, the year-round flight program of Biblio-Globus to the Dominican Republic on Rossiya Airlines flights is extended. Flights will be operated twice a week on the Moscow-Punta Cana-Moscow route on Boeing-747 with business class seats.
