The deal to sell a stake in Vnukovo Airport to Qatar Airways may close at the end of 2019, said Vitaly Vantsev, chairman of the board of directors and co-owner of Vnukovo, Rossiya 24 reports.
“We have been working hard and productively with Qatar Airways, We have already passed several audits, and now, at the moment, we are also passing audits - these are technical audits and financial ones. And we are confident that next year we will complete our transactions with Qatar Airways, most likely by the end of next year," noted Vitaly Vancev.
Recall that in March of this year, Qatar Airways showed interest in purchasing 25% part of Vnukovo Airport. In April, both companies signed an agreement, thanks to which the asset valuation procedure can be started.
According to the Federal Antimonopoly Service, this transaction requires the filing of a petition, which is then submitted to a meeting of the government commission on foreign investment.
Currently, 25% of Vnukovo International Airport belongs to the Federal Property Management Agency, 34.1% to Vnukovo Alliance.
