Russian Railways to Restore Samara-Kazan Train

Russian Railways intend to resume service between Samara and Kazan. Train #126/125 will run daily from December 9, reports Travel.ru correspondent.

Departure from Samara at 20:26, arrival in Kazan at 6:20. Return departure at 21:20, arrival in Samara at 8:40. The train is expected to consist of at least 5 compartment cars and 3 reserved seat cars.

The price of tickets in a compartment currently starts from 1,477 rubles on the upper berths and from 2,046 on the lower berths. In a reserved seat carriage the price is 1,158 rubles (on the upper side berths – 750 rubles).

At one time, a similar train would have been cancelled due to low demand, and now there is practically no rail service between Samara and Kazan. Various types of buses spend about 5 hours on the road at prices of about 1000 rubles.
