Russians poisoned in UAE hotel

Tourists from Yekaterinburg were poisoned in a hotel in the United Arab Emirates, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the E1 portal. According to Yekaterina, who was vacationing there, about 50 Russian and foreign tourists felt ill after breakfast at the Sheraton Hotel in Sharjah.

"We created a group chat of 50 people who felt ill after breakfast on May 9," says Ekaterina. "The food was definitely the cause. My child didn't have breakfast, so he didn't get sick. But my husband and I are still feeling ill. A doctor has already come to our room twice. Some tourists were even hospitalized."

“According to the information available at the moment, isolated cases of enterovirus have been confirmed among vacationers at the Sheraton Hotel in Sharjah,” confirms Maya Lomidze, executive director of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia.

The number of tourists who sought help will be clarified on Monday.
