Tourists warned about changes in the schedule of the Consulate of Finland

The Consulate General of Finland has warned tourists about changes in the schedule and visa processing times in late February and early March.

"Consulate General of Finland in St. Petersburg and visa center in the period from the end of February to the beginning of March 2020 years will work as follows:

  • Finland Visa Application Centre in St. Petersburg closed 24.02
  • There will be no customer service at the Consulate General of Finland in St. Petersburg 02.03
  • The Consulate General of Finland and the Finnish Visa Application Centre are closed on 09.03 in connection with the celebration of International Women's Day," the press service of the Embassy of Finland reported.

In addition, due to the implementation of a new information system in the period from 28.02 to 10.03, the visa processing time may increase, according to our forecasts, by about a week.

"We ask visa applicants to pay attention to this. This will not affect the work of visa centers. If a visa is required by the end of February or the first week of March, the visa should be requested as soon as possible. No changes in visa issuance requirements are expected," the department added.
