Tax holidays for small hotels to be introduced in Crimea in 2020

On September 29, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law granting tax holidays to owners of small hotels and guest houses. The Crimean authorities will prepare amendments to regional laws to introduce changes to the Tax Code.

According to the Head Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksenov, the signing of the law is good news for the resort business.

"This is good news for the resort business. The law takes into account the proposals regarding changes to the Tax Code, developed by the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea. My appeal to the Government of the Russian Federation on this matter was supported by the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation. Last week, the State Duma adopted the corresponding law, which was approved by the Federation Council and sent to the Head of State for signature," he commented on the signing of the law by the President on his official page on the social network VKontakte.

In addition, he also noted that now the subjects of the Russian Federation will be able to provide tax holidays to individual entrepreneurs and owners of small hotels and guest houses providing services for the provision of temporary accommodation.

“The Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea will prepare the necessary amendments to the republican law on taxation, which are planned for application in 2020,” the head of the Republic of Crimea added in conclusion.
