Munich Airport and Lufthansa have begun testing an anthropomorphic robot that can give advice to passengers.
Now passengers who find themselves in Terminal 2 can ask their questions to a humanoid robot named Josie Pepper, the airline's press service reports. For example, they can find out how to get to the right gate, which restaurant to have a snack at, or how to find a particular store. Josie Pepper, a 1.2-meter-tall robot, will quickly answer your question in English.
This is the first humanoid robot with artificial intelligence in Germany that serves passengers. At first, the robot will be located at the entrance to the shuttle train that transports passengers between terminals. At this stage of testing, the creators of the robot want to study the reaction of passengers to the appearance of a new employee at the airport.
