Tatarstan is among the top three most popular domestic destinations for vacations and travel with family and children during the New Year holidays. This was announced at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan by the Chairman of the regional State Committee for tourism Sergey Ivanov.
According to him, last year 130 thousand tourists came to the republic during the New Year holidays. This year Tatarstan expects to receive even more travelers. By the way, during these holidays the occupancy rate of hotels is already 84%, and on peak dates - 92%. As Sergey Ivanov noted, tourists mainly book hotels and inns for three days.
In addition, the Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan reported that during the New Year holidays in Tatarstan, an extensive and interesting program will be organized from January 1 to 7, and about 130 events will be held at the venues: a visit to St. Sophia Cathedral, various museums, there will also be interactive programs for guests, festivals, etc., as noted on the official portal of local government bodies of the city of Kazan.
