Winter sales in Finland will start on December 27

The winter discount season in Finnish stores and shopping centers will traditionally begin right after Christmas – on December 27. The sales period lasts four weeks, reports our own correspondent Travel.ru.

The sale is indicated by the signs ALE and Alennus in the shop windows. Discounts on goods by the end of the sales reach 80%. In recent years, stores have been trying to compete with online trading and attract customers with discounts of 50% already in the first days of the sale. Tourists will be able to save even more on purchases by issuing tax free checks for VAT refund.

Let us recall that on December 25 and 26, almost all shops in Finland are closed. The exception is shops in the border regions in the southeast of the country, which receive special permission to work on holidays in order to serve the many Russian tourists who come to Finland during this period.
