Tips for tourists

Damaraland. Africa. Namibia

This is a desert and wild area of Namibia, where plains and grasslands alternate with mountain ranges and gorges. This area contains the highest mountain in Namibia

In Damaraland, at the foot of the mountain range, on red stones heated by the sun, rock paintings have been preserved, left by the Bushmen, who lived here in prehistoric times. These are mainly images of animals: elephants, giraffes, antelopes and some others that ancient people had to deal with. They are carved on slabs with a sharp stone and are well preserved. The age of some is about five thousand years.

In Damaraland you can stay overnight in campsites or lodges, where we held photography workshops every evening.
