Irish low-cost airline Ryanair is changing its rules for carrying hand luggage from January 2018. Passengers will be able to take two bags on board, writes the Air Journal portal.
The change was supposed to come into effect on Wednesday, November 1, 2017. However, the airline decided postpone the changes until January 15, 2018. From that date on, passengers of the European low-cost airline who have priority boarding will be able to take two bags into the cabin. The "priority boarding" option is available to customers for 5 euros when booking a ticket, and 6 euros after purchasing it. "Priority boarding" also allows the passenger to be among the first to board the plane.
It should be noted that all other Ryanair passengers can carry baggage measuring 35x20x20 cm in the cabin free of charge. Wheeled suitcases and large bags not exceeding 55x40x20 cm are taken as baggage free of charge by the airline. The cost of transporting larger items is 25 euros, while the weight should not exceed 20 kg.
Ryanair flies between 28 European countries. Of particular interest to Russians are flights from Riga, Vilnius, Tallinn and Tempere. From there, for about 50 euros, you can get to such popular European cities as London, Barcelona, Milan, Amsterdam, Venice, Frankfurt, Lisbon.
The Russian low-cost airline Pobeda currently allows you to take hand luggage weighing no more than 5 kilograms and not exceeding the dimensions of 36x30x27 cm. For hand luggage up to 10 kilograms, a fee is charged - 1,499 rubles when paying online and 20,000 rubles when paying at the airport.
