Guests of the Chelyabinsk region are invited to the large tower of Tsar Semigor. It is this character who now represents the region within the framework of the cultural and tourist project "Fairytale Map of Russia". The author of the project, Alexey Kozlovsky, told TURIZM about this.
This summer The Chelyabinsk Region was added to the "Fairytale Map of Russia". This region is called the official birthplace of the hero of Ural legends and tales - Tsar Semigor. Now it is the hero and Guardian of the Southern Urals who will represent the region at various tourist events. In the fall of 2018, the opening of the residence of the fairytale character in the form of a large tower is planned in the interactive open-air park "Gorka" in the city of Kopeysk. Entertainment and educational programs will be held here. In July 2019, a large interregional fairytale festival will be held near the tower of Tsar Semigor with the participation of heroes of fairy tales and epics from different regions of Russia.
The Fairytale Map of Russia project is aimed at developing and promoting the territories and attractions of Russian regions based on fairy tales, epics and legends. According to its authors, participation in the project allows you to distinguish a city or region from others. At the moment, the Fairytale Map includes the city of Pereslavl-Zalessky in the Yaroslavl Region - the birthplace of Tsar Berendey, Kostroma - the birthplace of Snegurochka, Kirov - the birthplace of Ivan Tsarevich, the village of Kukoboy in the Yaroslavl Region - the birthplace of Baba Yaga, Shadrinsk in the Kurgan Region - the birthplace of the Frog Princess and many others.
