Metro to arrive at Vnukovo in three years

A metro station near the capital's Vnukovo airport may appear in the next three to four years, Interfax reports, citing a statement by the head of the capital's construction department, Andrei Bocharov.

It will stretch to Vnukovo Kalininsko-Solntsevskaya metro line. According to A. Bocharov, the design of the section is currently beginning. It is necessary to build two stations from the currently under construction Rasskazovka station to the air harbor. At the same time, the final stop may be built on the surface, not underground, which will allow it to be integrated into the existing airport infrastructure.

Earlier, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development Policy and Construction Marat Khusnullin reported that the section of the Kalininsko-Solntsevskaya metro line from the Ramenki station will be extended to the Rasskazovka station. Seven stations are being built between them. And then the line will be extended to Vnukovo Airport.
