Every second Russian spends their summer vacation in 2018 away from home, outside of Russia. TURIZM.RU received this data as a result of a survey of portal users.
During the July survey, TURIZM.RU found out how residents of our country spend their summer vacations. It turned out that more than half of the respondents — 57% — are vacationing abroad. Quite a large number of Russians — 27% — will patriotically remain in their homeland. Of these, 18% intend to go to domestic resorts, and the remaining 9% will go to their dachas.
Interesting fact: a significant portion of Russian citizens take vacations not in the summer months, but go on vacation in the fall, spring or winter. That is why 14% respondents to the question "Where will you go this summer?" answered "Nowhere, because they will work."
According to sales data from the travel agency network "1001 Tour", among foreign destinations this summer, the leaders among Russians are Turkey, Tunisia, Greece, Cyprus, Spain, Thailand, the Dominican Republic and Montenegro.
