Aeroflot airline has introduced discounted preliminary fares for round-trip flights between Moscow and a number of Russian cities. This is quite unusual for this carrier, where the price of round-trip tickets within Russia is usually equal to double the price of a one-way ticket, reports our own correspondent for Travel.ru.
Round-trip prices from Moscow are: Yekaterinburg – 5,580 rubles, Ufa – 6,038, Tyumen – 6,574, Kemerovo – 7,568, Nizhny Novgorod – 4,800, Saratov – 6,534, Ulyanovsk – 7,624, Magnitogorsk – 6,944, Vladikavkaz – 5,586, Nazran (Magas) – 5,674, Grozny – 7,672, Makhachkala – 6,506, Nalchik – 7,670, Novy Urengoy – 7,554, Nizhnevartovsk – 9,686 rubles.
It should be noted that for some destinations (Ekaterinburg, Kemerovo) tickets must be purchased at least 21 days before departure. For Ufa, Magnitogorsk, Tyumen, Novy Urengoy, Nizhnevartovsk this period is 7 days. To Ulyanovsk, a discounted price is also available for one-way flights (3817 rubles).
Tickets are sold until October 31, departure is possible until March 31. Ticket returns are not permitted, fees are also not refundable, exchange is possible with the payment of a fee of 2,300 rubles and an additional payment up to the tariff in effect at the time of exchange.
When buying any tickets on the Aeroflot website (as well as almost all other Russian carriers), you should keep in mind that the airline may include insurance in the ticket by default. This practice, prohibited in the EU countries, can lead to a loss of 400 rubles on each ticket. To avoid becoming a victim of an insurance trick, in most cases you need to click on the “in order” field on the insurance services selection page during the ticket booking process.
If a passenger has nevertheless fallen into a trap and paid for unnecessary insurance, it can still be cancelled. In this case, before the start of the flight, you should notify the airline about the cancellation of the insurance service and demand a refund for the insurance.
Let us recall that soon passengers of all Russian airlines may lose the guarantees of free transportation of briefcases, handbags, backpacks, outerwear, as well as baby food, medicine, canes, crutches and other items necessary for medical reasons. This is the draft order of the Ministry of Transport, prepared after the appeal to the ministry by the airline Pobeda, which demanded that passengers be deprived of all these guarantees. If the draft is approved, carriers will be able to limit passengers to only 5 kilograms of hand luggage, and the permissible dimensions of such luggage will be determined by the airlines themselves (Pobeda itself already uses a tiny “calibrator” measuring 36x30x27 centimeters for this, in which it is impossible to place many ordinary small city bags, as well as some mobile electronics - for example, some laptops).
From October 28, Aeroflot will launch flights from Moscow on a dozen new routes – to Nalchik, Vladikavkaz, Nazran, Grozny, Makhachkala, Izhevsk, Ulyanovsk, Dublin, Ljubljana, Gothenburg, Colombo and Dubai's second airport. In addition, the company is considering launching flights to Mauritius and the Seychelles, as well as to Chengdu in China, Nha Trang in Vietnam and resuming flights to Mumbai. Aeroflot will also increase the number of flights to St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Ufa, Belgorod, Volgograd, Arkhangelsk, Kemerovo, Brussels, Lyon, Stuttgart, Bangkok and Phuket, and will sharply reduce the number of flights to Chisinau for the winter.
