The AlfaStrakhovanie analytical center has compiled a list of countries in which Russians traveling this summer most often experienced health problems and turned to insurance companies for medical assistance.
As the company told the TRN portal, the first place Cyprus turned out to be in first place, with 16% of all insured applications, Turkey was in second place (13%), Bulgaria in third place (11.5%), Spain in fourth place (9%), and Greece in fifth place (4%).
Italy and Germany share sixth place (3%). Seventh place goes to Vietnam (2.3%), eighth to Montenegro (2.2%), ninth to Israel (2%). Georgia (1.9%) rounds out the top ten. It is followed by the USA (1.7%), China (1.6%), and the UAE (1.3%).
"The sales volume of policies for those traveling abroad since the beginning of 2018 reached about 5 billion rubles by the middle of the year. In independent travel this year, Russians prefer Spain, Italy and Bulgaria," said Anton Kolegov, chief underwriter of the travel insurance department of AlfaStrakhovanie.
