From November 22 to 23, Sochi hosted participants of the International Tourism Forum SIFT-2018. The forum brought together the XXV International Tourism Exhibition "Resorts and Tourism. Season 2018-2019", the XIX International Specialized Exhibition "Hotel and restaurant business 2018», plenary session, panel sessions and master classesA number of agreements on the development of the tourism sector were signed at the event.
SIFT has traditionally been an authoritative discussion platform for discussing the most important issues of the industry. Hundreds of key players in the tourism industry gather in Sochi every year. The forum brings together various participants in the domestic and foreign tourism services market. Here, tour operators, resorts, hotels, and regional authorities present their products and services for discussion to the widest professional audience. The business breakfast, one of the most representative events held during the forum, was attended by Alexander Saurin, General Director of the all-season resort Gorki Gorod. The issues discussed included resort fees, significant growth in domestic tourist flow in recent years, and prospects for tourism development in general.
On November 23, the annual International Forum "Tourism Safety - South" (TSIF-SOUTH-2018) was held at the SIFT site, where issues of technical safety, anti-terrorist protection, rescue support and classification of ski resorts were considered using the example of the Gorki Gorod resort. This choice is not accidental, because from the point of view of all aspects of safety, Gorki Gorod is one of the most authoritative representatives of the ski and resort industry. The resort uses only the most advanced technologies of avalanche safety, video surveillance, control over the operation of cable cars, maintaining safety in hotels and on the slopes.
