Travel service Tutu.ru analyzed where parents like to fly with their little ones. All booked air tickets for the year (from March 2018 to March 2019, where the order included an adult (or two adults) and a baby under 2 years old) were analyzed.
How The company's research showed that little travelers rarely end up outside the country. Most often, parents take their baby with them on trips around Russia. This is what 86% of all those who took a child under 2 years old with them on a trip did. 12% is the share of those who fly with a small passenger to neighboring countries. These are probably trips to visit relatives.
And only 2% independent travelers take a baby with them when flying to Europe or other foreign countries.
In Russia, parents most often take their children with them when they fly to Moscow and St. Petersburg. In third place is Krasnodar. In general, as expected, almost half of the top are southern cities (Krasnodar, Simferopol, Rostov-on-Don, Sochi, Anapa).
The most popular country for travel among parents with small children is Russia (86%), followed by neighboring countries (Moldova, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Georgia, Ukraine), and after them - Turkey, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Bulgaria and Israel.
Earlier, Tutu.ru already published the most popular air routes for passengers with infants. At that time, the top five most popular air routes in Russia included flights from Moscow to Sochi, Krasnodar, Mineralnye Vody, Simferopol and Rostov-on-Don. And among the foreign air routes, the leading ones were flights from the capital to cities in the CIS countries.
