Austrian Railways have decided to restore night service between Berlin and Vienna. In addition, direct night carriages will again run from Berlin to Krakow and Budapest, as well as to Przemysl and Brno, reports our own correspondent Travel.ru.
The new train will be included in the schedule from December 9. Its main part (Vienna – Berlin) will operate under the NightJet brand, created a year ago. Departure from Berlin at 18.40, arrival in Vienna at 6.55. Return departure at 22.10, arrival in Berlin at 9.15. The train will consist of a seat, a couchette and a sleeper car.
The train's route will now run not only through Germany and Austria, but also through Poland and the Czech Republic. The schedule includes stops in Frankfurt (Oder), Zielona Gora, Wroclaw and the eastern Czech Republic, among others. The train will also include Polish railway trailers (at least seated ones, but possibly also sleeping ones) from Berlin via Wroclaw to Krakow and Przemysl on the Ukrainian border, plus Hungarian carriages from Berlin to Budapest.
