Greek Consulate Issued 600,000 Visas to Russian Tourists in 2018

Last year, Russian tourists applied for 600,000 visas to Greece. This figure has decreased by almost 1% compared to 2017. This was reported by Consul General of Greece Eleni Vakali.

“We explain this by the fact that the consulate is trying to issue multiple long-term visas. This is how we ensure the stability of the Russian client market for Greece,” she noted, specifying that, according to the results of 2018, the number of refusals to obtain Greek visas amounted to 0.7%.

Let us recall that earlier tour operators told the TRN portal that sales of tours to Greece under the “early booking” promotion, which started last year, are showing growth reaching 25%.
