Rosaviatsia denied permission for AZUR air to operate 28 international flights, according to the agency’s materials, Interfax-Tourism reports.

As explained in the document, the airline was denied permission to operate 21 charter flights and seven scheduled flights. flights.

In particular, the carrier was denied daily scheduled flights from Moscow to Antalya (Turkey). Scheduled flights to India are also not permitted (from Moscow to Goa, five flights a week, Yekaterinburg, Rostov-on-Don, Krasnoyarsk, St. Petersburg one flight a week). Permission for scheduled flights from Moscow to Cancun twice a week has also not been received.

In addition, Rosaviatsia did not issue permission for charter flights to Burgas (Bulgaria) from St. Petersburg, Rostov-on-Don, Yekaterinburg, Tyumen, Perm, Omsk, and from Moscow to Varna (Bulgaria).

The airline has also been refused charters from Moscow to Punta Cana (Dominican Republic), Varadero (Cuba), Barcelona and Palma de Mallorca (Spain). Charter flights to Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Varadero and Punta Cana from St. Petersburg have also been refused. In addition, charters to Barcelona from Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov-on-Don and Samara have not been approved.

In early February, Rosaviatsia limited the validity of the operator's certificate of the largest charter airline in the Russian Federation, AZUR air, until March 20. The decision was made after an inspection that the agency conducted in December 2017: "inconsistencies and shortcomings concerning the maintenance of airworthiness of aircraft and the organization of flight operations" were identified in the air carrier's activities.

Rosaviatsia sent a letter to the airline about the need to stop booking and issuing tickets within the framework of contractual relations with tour operators, as well as selling its own tickets for the airline's flights with departures after March 19.

Last week, Rostourism called on tour operators and agencies to stop selling tour packages that include flights by AZUR air after March 19, as well as tickets for its flights after that date.
