Smartavia launched regular flights to four new destinations from Pulkovo Airport in the 2019/2020 winter season. The carrier's route network was expanded to include the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku, and the Russian cities of Izhevsk, Rostov-on-Don, Ufa.

The airline's route network at Pulkovo Airport in the 2019/2020 winter season includes 12 destinations: the Russian cities of Arkhangelsk, Voronezh, Izhevsk, Kazan, Murmansk, Rostov-on-Don, Samara, Syktyvkar, Ufa, Chelyabinsk, as well as foreign ones - Antalya (Turkey, charter) and Baku (Azerbaijan).
Over the first 10 months of 2019, Smartavia served over 670,000 passengers at Pulkovo, which is 25.6% more than during the same period in 2018. In addition to direct flights to Pulkovo, the airline offers passengers a wide range of transfer options with convenient connections at St. Petersburg Airport.
Pulkovo Airport ranks fourth in terms of passenger traffic in Russia. According to the results of the first two months of 2019, the St. Petersburg airport served 15.2 million people, which is 8.1% more than the result for the same period in 2018.
In 2019, Pulkovo won the annual national award "Air Gates of Russia" for the fourth time in a row as the best airport in the country based on the results of passenger voting. The main operator of Pulkovo since 2010 has been the international consortium "Air Gates of the Northern Capital", which, on the basis of a public-private partnership, manages the airport and the project of its reconstruction and development.
