Due to strong winds in Crimea, the emergency warning was extended until September 14. This was reported by the press service of the regional department of the Russian Emergencies Ministry.
“On the afternoon of September 12, and during the day of September 13, a strengthening of the north-east wind is expected in Crimea 17–22 m/s,” the report says.
The department recommends that guests and residents of Crimea stay away from billboards when going outside, do not park cars under trees, and do not stand near road signs and signs.
In addition, rescuers recommend strictly following a number of rules of conduct on the water during adverse weather conditions to avoid accidents:
- swim only in permitted areas. There are lifeguard posts and towers on equipped beaches, where lifeguards are on duty, who can provide timely assistance in an emergency;
- swimming is prohibited during storm warnings and difficult weather conditions;
- do not enter the water while intoxicated;
- do not dive in unfamiliar places;
- You must not swim in stormy weather or in areas with strong surf;
- do not sail far from the shore on inflatable watercraft;
- Do not swim beyond the buoys that mark the swimming areas.
