Utair Airlines intends to resume the second and third daily flights from Moscow to Rostov-on-Don. They will appear during the spring, reports our own correspondent Travel.ru.
The second flight, which will operate from March 29, will be a morning flight, in addition to the existing evening flight. From March 29, departures from Moscow (Vnukovo Airport) at 7:10 and 20:10, arriving in Rostov at 9:05 and 22:00 respectively. Return departures at 9:55 and 22:50, arriving in Moscow at 12:00 and 0:40. From May 11, a third daytime flight will appear: departure from Moscow at 13:05, arriving in Rostov at 14:50. Return departure at 15:40, arriving in Moscow at 17:30.
The route uses a Boeing 737 aircraft. Prices for summer flights start from 3,285 rubles one way without baggage and 4,785 rubles with baggage. Round-trip fares start from 5,570 rubles without baggage and 8,570 rubles with baggage.
The second and third flights were on the Utair schedule until spring and autumn 2019, respectively. Then they were cancelled, partly due to a lack of fleet in Utair itself, partly due to high service rates at the Rostov airport. It is possible that the reason for the restoration of the cancelled flights was the expected departure of Utair's main competitor, Pobeda Airlines, from this route at the end of March.
In addition, Utair intends to resume servicing regional destinations from Rostov. From March 3, the company plans to fly three times a week to Volgograd and twice a week to Astrakhan. From March 30, flights twice a week to Vladikavkaz will be added. These routes will be serviced by an ATR-72 aircraft.
