From today, hotels, sanatoriums and boarding houses of Krasnodar Krai have begun to charge tourists a resort fee - 10 rubles per person per day. Payment is made upon check-in.
As Interfax reports, according to the region's governor Veniamin Kondratyev, this is the "minimum bar" of the fee. Residents of Kuban are exempt from paying the resort fee, as are nineteen privileged categories of citizens.
The funds collected from vacationers will be sent in full to the budgets of municipalities for the development of resort infrastructure: improvement of beaches, parks and squares, landscaping of territories. The expected volume of receipts in 2018 will be about 70 million rubles.
