The 7th Charity Golf Tournament for the Tatarstan President's Cup was held on the territory of the Sviyazhskie Kholmy golf club near Kazan with the support of Club Med.
This is not the first time that the French company Club Med has supported golf tournaments and this year it received status of a partner of the Golf Federation.
"Golf and Club Med are close in spirit, and guests of many Club Med resorts around the world have the opportunity to practice the game, as well as improve their level or get their first lessons under the guidance of an instructor. Sixty athletes from all over Russia took part in the VII Charity Golf Tournament for the Tatarstan President's Cup, and the tournament was opened by the republic's top officials: President Rustam Minnikhanov and Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Vladimir Leonov.
In his welcoming speech, Rustam Minnikhanov particularly noted that this competition, which has already become traditional, is socially oriented and all proceeds go to charity. This year, the organizers collected over 3 million rubles, which will be used to support the Ronald McDonald House in Kazan - a free family hotel for parents whose children are undergoing long-term treatment at the Republican Children's Clinical Hospital.
