Chinese aviation authorities have reportedly not confirmed slots for the airline "Ikar". As a result, several large tour operators are forced to cancel tours, look for a replacement destination and urgently evacuate tourists.
It is known that clients of the tour operator "Matryoshka-Tour" are also stuck in Hainan. The company's website announced that the flight program to the Chinese resort from December 22 to January 26 has been suspended.
"We are actively working on all possible ways to organize the evacuation of tourists by regular flights with transfers and charter flights via other cities," the statement says. It is also emphasized that the tour operator "Matryoshka-Tour" has asked for help from Rosaviatsia, Rostourism, the Association of Tour Operators of Russia, "Turpomoshch", as well as the Russian consulate in China with a request to help evacuate tourists.
As for those tourists who were unable to fly to Hainan, the company is not ready to offer an alternative due to the lack of seats on other routes. It is also unlikely that they will be able to return the money promptly.
It also became known that the tour operator Zhemchuzhnaya Reka planned to transport tourists on the Ikar flights. At the last moment, they were able to reorient their clients and sent them to the Nha Trang resort in Vietnam.
