The city has left far behind not only Japanese, but also French cities. Thus, according to the catalog, there are 230 restaurants in Tokyo that have been awarded Michelin stars, while in Paris there are only 113. At the same time, 13 Tokyo establishments have been awarded the highest rating - three stars, 52 - two stars, and 165 - one star. Among the best are Kagurazaka Ishikawa with Japanese cuisine, Quintessence with French cuisine, Sushi Saito, which serves sushi, and Usukifugu Yamadaya, which prepares dishes from fugu fish.
Among countries, France leads in the number of mentions in the Michelin Guide. In 2019, more than 600 French restaurants will be able to boast stars. They are followed by establishments in Italy. Residents and visitors of the country will be able to taste exquisite dishes in 10 three-star establishments. Among them are La Pergola in Rome, Riccardo Monco in Florence, Chicco Cerea in Bergamo and Osteria Francescana in Modena. In total, 367 Italian restaurants are included in the Michelin Guide.
The winners of stars in Spain and Portugal have also been announced. The combined guide for the two countries includes 30 restaurants. One of them received its third star this year. We are talking about Dani García in Marbella, in Malaga. Experts noted that the establishment achieved success thanks to a modern rethinking of Andalusian cuisine. In the UK and Ireland, you can get acquainted with the best cuisine in 20 Michelin restaurants. Of these, 5 are holders of the highest rating from the compilers of the Michelin Guide 2019.
