Aeroflot Airlines intends to change the type of aircraft on the Moscow-Tokyo route. Starting in the spring, the route will be served by a more capacious Boeing 777 instead of the Airbus A330, Travel.ru's own correspondent reports.
It will be available online from March 31. The arrival of the Boeing 777 also means the appearance of premium economy class on the route. Its roundtrip fares now start at 66,351 rubles (regular economy class costs from 42,256 rubles roundtrip).
The flight schedule will not change. Departures from Moscow will still be daily at 19:00, and back from Tokyo – at 12:00.
The increase in carrying capacity is likely due to the simplification of the procedure for obtaining visas to Japan for Russian citizens. Earlier, the Japanese airline JAL increased the frequency of its flights to daily in the summer.
