In the Madrid suburb of Fuente del Fresno, 25 kilometers from the Spanish capital, the Desert City park has opened, which contains more than 250 species of cacti.
Succulents from all over the world are located on an area of 16 thousand square meters, divided into their habitat zones: the Spanish “Los Monegros”, the American “Arizona and Nevada”, the Mediterranean “Tuscany”, etc. Particularly heat-loving plants are in a closed pavilion, reports “Spain in Russian”.
Desert City Park combines a nature reserve, a botanical garden, a cactus shop and an educational center dedicated to everything related to these representatives of the flora. The park also hosts master classes. Entry to Desert City is free.
